Building Information Modelling (BIM)

BIM is no longer optional, it is a requirement on the majority of new projects. At Broad Building Services, we guide clients through the full BIM process, ensuring compliant, coordinated, and successful project delivery. We offer a comprehensive BIM coordination and project management service in accordance with ISO 19650 standards, improving efficiency, reducing risk, and supporting better decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

We work in line with your BIM Execution Plan, ensuring all processes and standards are met. Our models are developed to LOD 500, using our own in-house blocks and families to ensure consistency, efficiency, and project-specific accuracy with structured data drops and model setups all aligned with ISO 19650 requirements.

We work across a comprehensive suite of industry-leading BIM software and tools, including Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, RF Tools, Dynamo, and Autodesk BIM Interoperability Tools, giving you a fully integrated and technically robust BIM delivery.

COBie — Delivering the Right Data at the Right Time

COBie (Construction Operations Building Information Exchange) is the default data schema for BIM under ISO 19650, providing a structured, non-proprietary format for sharing key asset information at defined stages of a project.

At Broad Building Services, we manage and deliver COBie data as an integral part of our BIM service, ensuring that non-graphical information is accurately captured, structured, and shared with the right stakeholders at the right time. We capture and record important project data at the point of origin, including equipment lists, product data sheets, warranties, spare parts lists, and preventive maintenance schedules, amongst a full range of asset information required for building operation and maintenance.

By delivering structured, accurate COBie data throughout the project lifecycle, we help clients transition smoothly from construction to building operation, ensuring nothing is lost between handover and the start of facility management.
